MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024829 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'cloth ironing assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cloth ironing assistive device, comprising a cuboidal housing 1 by means of plurality of suction units 2, a display panel 3 installed to enable a user to provide input regrading requirement of ironing board, a rectangular platform 4 attached with base portion of the housing 1 via a motorized hinge joint 5 to deploy the platform 4 for providing appropriate space for cloth that is to be ironed, an imaging unit 6 determines dimensions of cloth, plurality of telescopic clippers 7 grip edges of cloth for positioning cloth over platform 4, an auxiliary cloth iron accessed by the user to regulate temperature of cloth iron in accordance with the evaluated pressure by operating a temperature regulator installed with the cloth iron and a temperature sensor installed over the housing 1 to monitor temperature of the cloth."
