MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004005 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'cloth displaying assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Varun Vaid.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cloth displaying assistive device, comprises, a installed with primary motorized rollers 2 each wrapped with a black-coloured sheet carved with shape of different categories of clothes for displaying the cloth to customer, a touch enabled screen installed on the housing 1 to select one of the categories along with different type of fabric patterns to be tried by the customer, a motorized slider 5 configured between each of the set of links and ceiling portion of the housing 1 for translating one of the set of links configured with the determined primary roller, towards a second side of the housing 1, and secondary motorized rollers 6 configured at the second side of the housing 1 each wrapped with fabric patterns to rotate for unwrapping and poisoning each of the selected fabric patterns behind the shape of the selected category of cloth."
