MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641043717 A) filed by Siljan, Kottuvally, Kerala, on April 6, for 'clip locked wall angle for secure fixing of drywall boards.'
Inventor(s) include Siljan.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Clip Locked Wall Angle for Secure Fixing of drywall boards relates to a clip locked wall angle assembly for secure fixing of gypsum boards, fiber cement boards, and similar panel materials used in ceiling and wall construction systems. The assembly comprises a wall angle (21) mounted along a structural wall (11) and provided with clip holes (22) configured to receive a locking clip (23) that reinforces the fixing region of the wall angle. The reinforced arrangement enables fastening screws (50) to be positioned at multiple fixing locations without deformation or loss of structural rigidity. The locking clip distributes mechanical loads uniformly along the wall angle and prevents bending or sagging of supported panel boards including horizontal plaster boards (31), vertical plaster boards (32), and cove vertical plaster boards (33). Multiple clip configurations may be used depending on installation requirements, thereby improving installation flexibility, structural stability, durability."
