MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511104615 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 30, 2025, for 'clinical decision support system (cdss) for automated breast cancer diagnosis.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A clinical decision support system (CDSS) for automated breast cancer diagnosis comprising a data input module configured to acquire patient-specific medical images, a feature extraction module integrated with deep learning architectures including KELM 103 and DBN models for extracting deep feature representations from the images, a preprocessing unit performing normalization, contrast enhancement, noise suppression, and segmentation of the breast tissue region of interest, an ensemble fusion processor 105 designed to merge individual model predictions using majority voting or stacking-based techniques for generating unified diagnostic outputs, a dynamic weighting mechanism that updates based on cross-validation performance metrics to enhance accuracy, a system architecture that retrains with new labeled data for continuous improvement, and a Results interface 106 that provides diagnostic indices such as precision, F1-score, specificity, and accuracy for clinical interpretation, thereby ensuring efficient, adaptive, and reliable breast cancer diagnosis."
