MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006934 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'climbing assistive system for inclined surfaces.'

Inventor(s) include Mandeep Kaur; Dr. Dinesh Arora; and Dr. Deepika Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A climbing assistive system for inclined surfaces, comprises of a pair of frames 1 each arranged with a looped straps 2 developed to accommodate feet portion of a user for assisting user to climb on an inclined surface, an electromagnetic lock 3 for enabling user to secure their feet portion over frame 1, a microphone 4 for enabling user to providing voice commands regarding a mode of operation user desires to perform, in case the mode of operation corresponds with a climbing operation then an inbuilt microcontroller actuates multiple motorized omnidirectional wheels 5 for providing movement to frame 1 over surface in view of positioning user to their desired location, and a speaker 9 for notifying user to make an appropriate posture in order to avoid any chances of injury while maneuvering over surface."
