MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013493 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'climbing assistive device for construction sites.'

Inventor(s) include Nitin Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A climbing assistive device for construction sites, comprising a frame 1 having at-least three vertical columns 2 each attached with a motorized omnidirectional wheel 3 for maneuvering the frame 1 towards a building wall, a cuboidal block 4 arranged on each of the columns 2 to engage plate for maintaining standing posture by a user, a display panel 5 mapped on the frame 1 for enabling user's input commands, a gear-slider arrangement 6 coupled between one the blocks 4 for uplifting the plate, multiple wearable bodies 7 suspended from an inverted U-shaped member 8 arranged between the columns 2 to be worn by user, an imaging unit 9 mounted on columns 2 determining misbalancing of the user and multiple motorized spools 10 having ropes arranged on member 8 for securing the user."
