MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013491 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'cleaning assistive device for water body.'
Inventor(s) include Raman Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cleaning assistive device for water body comprises of a hemi-spherical shaped body 1 installed inside a water body that is required to be cleaned, an imaging unit 2 for evaluating a 3D mapping of waterbody, a computing unit installed with a user interface for displaying evaluated mapping and also accessed by a user to input details, a motorized propeller 3 for positioning body 1 on user specified portion, a vacuum unit 4 for translating water from water body into a chamber 5, a telescopic bar 6 for extending to position a vacuum based cleaning unit 7 on bed of water body followed by actuation of cleaning unit 7 to clean any debris present on bed that are collected inside a receptacle 8, a series of meshed sheet 10 separates debris from collected water and an electric pump connected with chamber 5 for expelling collected water to float on surface."
