MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024044 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'clay pigeon target sport practicing device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Deepak Kumar Sharma; and Riya Goyal.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A clay pigeon target sport practicing device comprises a circular frame 1 accessed by a user to throw the frame 1 in surroundings, plurality of discs 2 allows the frame 1 to sequentially launch a trajectory in the surroundings, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 detects position of a disc-shooter in the user's hands, a laser sensor detects a laser beam emitted by the disc-shooter, an angle sensor determines orientation of the disc-shooter with respect to the frame 1, plurality of telescopically operated links 4 arranged deploys multiple weights integrated with each the link, a circular slider 5 integrated in between the link and inner periphery of the disc to translate the links 4, plurality of radial flaps 6 changes direction of the trajectory of the frame 1, and plurality of curved members 7 arranged through a motorized hinge joint 8 underneath the frame 1 for deploying the flaps 6."
