MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012470 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'clay cutting device for manufacturing of bricks.'
Inventor(s) include Mohit Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A clay cutting device for manufacturing of bricks, comprises of a U-shaped elongated platform 1 installed with a touch enabled screen 2 to give input commands for cutting the clay to obtain bricks, a camera 12 for capturing multiple images of the layer of clay to detect width of the layer of clay, a pair of plates 3 configured with sides on the platform 1 via a set of electromagnetic springs to compress/expand in a manner to align the layer of clay in middle of the platform 1, a motorized for tilting the frame 5 towards and away from the platform 1 in a continuous manner for cutting the layer of clay in the bricks via the wires 7, a telescopically operated gripper 8 for gripping and positioning the bricks on a plank, and a telescopically operated pusher to gradually extend for pushing layer of clay towards the first portion."
