MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511133723 A) filed by Gna University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Dec. 30, 2025, for 'classroom system for automated exam management.'

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A classroom system for automated exam management, comprising a plurality of seating and work surface units, including a bench 101 and a desk 102 developed to be mounted on grids of sliders 103 embedded at a base surface of a classroom 104, a paper handling arrangement integrated with an invigilator's desk 201 to securely scan and open sealed envelopes containing examination materials, a paper dispensing arrangement integrated with student desk(s) to identify students and dispense specific types of paper, a labelling arrangement to automate the placement and inscription of student information on slips, multiple imaging units 315 and microphones 316 for detecting and recording suspicious student activity during exams, two flaps 317 restrict external visibility upon detecting the suspicious activity, and a slip removal arrangement automatically eliminate student identification slips after exam completion."
