MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621013354 A) filed by Gokul Global University, Patan, Gujarat, on Feb. 6, for 'chimney cleaning device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Chetanaba Rajput.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A chimney cleaning device comprises of a housing 101 mounted on multiple motorized wheels 102 configured to provide mobility to the housing 101, a water spraying assembly 103 integrated with the housing 101 to spray water in inner surface of the chimney surfaces for cleaning, multiple motorized brushes 104 mounted on the periphery of a rotatable circular plate 105 via a telescopic rod 106, and configured to rotate and remove accumulated dust and debris from chimney walls, a corrosion treatment module 112 to spray an anti-corrosion liquid on the walls of the chimney, an AI (artificial intelligence) enabled camera 109 mounted on the housing 101 to monitor the chimney and the cleaning operations, and an eddy current sensor is integrated with the housing 101 to identify metallic surface corrosion and oxidation on chimney walls."
