MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017502 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 11, 2024, for 'chemical reaction holding apparatus.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Lalita Chopra; and Diotima Bose.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A chemical reaction holding apparatus, comprising a first body 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface for accommodating a chemical reagent for initiating chemical reaction, a second body 2 accommodated on top of the first body 1 for providing a covering to the accommodated reagent, plurality of threads 6 engraved on ends of the bodies 1, 2 that are engaged for sealing the bodies 1, 2 in order to provide a sealed space for the reaction to take place, a neck-like structure 3 having a first and second end 4, 5, assembled on the second body 2 in a manner that the first end 4 rest over the first body 1 while the second end 5 acts as an opening for allowing other chemical reactants to be poured inside the bodies 1, 2 for effectively initiating chemical reaction to proceed inside the bodies 1, 2."
