MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013170 A) filed by Fev Group Gmbh, Aachen, Germany, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'charging system of an electric vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention discloses relates to a charging system for charging a vehicle-mounted power storage device in a vehicle from an external power supply. The system comprises an EVSE controller configured to generate a PWM control pilot signal that can be supplied to vehicle for controlling charging of the vehicle, and supply electric power from power supply to vehicle, an EVSE connector provided in the charger configured to connect the EVSE controller to vehicle, a control apparatus connected to a control pilot line to isolate the control pilot signal from the EVSE controller and communicate the pilot signal to vehicle, a vehicle inlet configured to electrically connect the control pilot line to a vehicle earth, and a vehicle controller configured to generate a voltage at the control pilot line. The control apparatus includes an optical isolator."
