MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514032421 A) filed by Yazaki Corporation, Tokyo, on April 1, for 'charging inlet.'

Inventor(s) include Sawayanagi, Masahiro; Hori, Takahiro; and Suzuki, Hiroyuki.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A charging inlet 1 includes: an inlet housing 10 having a charging opening 15; an illuminator 20 radiating light La 5 in which the charging opening 15 is located within an irradiation area IA; and a reflective tape 30 attached on an exterior surface 13a of the inlet housing 10 to fit a shape of at least a part of an outer periphery of the charging opening 15 such that the reflective tape 30 is located within the irradiation area IA with the light La radiated from the illuminator 20. The illuminator 20 includes a light source 21 emitting 10 the light La of variable colors, and the light source 21 may emit the light La based on a radiation pattern corresponding to an operation status at the time of charging."
