MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514089086 A) filed by Honda Motor Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on Sept. 18, 2025, for 'charging control system.'
Inventor(s) include Kuroda, Gen; Nishimiya, Ayumu; and Kuwano, Yuki.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A charging control system (1) includes: a DC-DC converter (6) that is connected to a high-voltage battery (3), decreases the voltage of first electric power (Pbat) of the high-voltage battery (3), and supplies the electric power to a low-voltage battery (7); a battery charger (4) that is connected to the converter (6) and the high-voltage battery (3), and supplies second electric power (Pchg) obtained from an external electric power source to at least one of the converter (6) and the high-voltage battery (3); a current sensor (3a) that acquires a current value (Ibat) of the first electric power (Pbat) flowing from the high-voltage battery (3) to the converter (6); and a BMS (5) that inputs a signal of the current sensor (3a) and outputs a command value (PI) of the second electric power (Pchg) which is output from the battery charger (4) to the battery charger (4), wherein the BMS (5) outputs the command value (PI) of the second electric power (Pchg) based on the current value (Ibat)."
