MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527078362 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on Aug. 18, for 'cell configuration method and device.'

Inventor(s) include Wang, Fanfan; Hu, Xingxing; Shi, Yulong; and Li, Jiaojiao.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application provides a cell configuration method and device. The method comprises: a primary base station determines M candidate primary and secondary cells, M being a positive integer; the primary base station acquires first reference configuration information; the primary base station acquires RRC messages corresponding to N candidate primary and secondary cells, N being a positive integer, wherein the N candidate primary and secondary cells are comprised in the M candidate primary and secondary cells, RRC messages of first candidate primary and secondary cells among the N candidate primary and secondary cells comprise SCG configuration information of the first candidate primary and secondary cells, and the SCG configuration information of the first candidate primary and secondary cells is an incremental configuration based on the first reference configuration information; and the primary base station issues to a terminal second reference configuration information and the RRC messages corresponding to the N candidate primary and secondary cells, the second reference configuration information comprising the first reference configuration information. According to the present application, the overhead of RRC signaling transmission and terminal storage is reduced in a continuous CPAC."

The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 08, 2024, under International application No.PCT/CN2024/077027.
