Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Cathode For All-Solid-State Battery, And All-Solid-State Battery Comprising Same' Filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd.

MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517086753 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 12, 2025, for 'cathode for all-solid-state battery, and all-solid-state battery comprising same.'

Inventor(s) include Choi, Seokin; Kwon, Hyejin; Kim, Sohee; Lee, Choonghyeon; Kim, Myeongsoo; Oh, Kyungbae; and Kang, Sora.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed are a cathode for an all-solid-state battery, and an all-solid-state battery comprising same, the cathode having physically-optimized cathode physical properties that directly affect the lifespan and capacity expression of a battery, and thus can improve performance of the battery. The cathode for an all-solid-state battery comprises a cathode active material, a solid electrolyte and a binder, wherein the amount of the cathode active material exceeds 70 wt%."

The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 24, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/014397.
