MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517064571 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on July 7, for 'carrier for cleaning cylindrical battery cell, cylindrical battery cell produced using same, and battery pack and vehicle which comprise cylindrical battery cell.'

Inventor(s) include Lee, Gi-Yeon; Kim, Tae-Heon; and Lee, Gil-Young.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A carrier for cleaning a cylindrical battery cell, a cylindrical battery cell produced using same, and a battery pack and a vehicle which comprise the cylindrical battery cell are disclosed. The carrier for cleaning a cylindrical battery cell, according to one embodiment of the present invention, has a cylindrical battery cell loaded thereon, during transferring of the cylindrical battery cell to a cleaning member, in order to clean same, the carrier comprising: a main body unit on which the cylindrical battery cell is loaded; a first support unit, which protrudes from the main body unit and supports the side of the cylindrical battery cell; and a second support unit, which protrudes from the main body unit and supports the lower surface of the cylindrical battery cell."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 20, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/021159.
