MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517058855 A) filed by Semarion Ltd., Cambridge, U.K., on June 19, for 'carrier, carrier system and method.'

Inventor(s) include Verheyen, Jeroen; and Vemulkar, Tarun.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A carrier (100) for an adherent assay sample is provided. The carrier comprises a sample surface (25) for receiving the adherent sample and a peripheral region (28) between the sample surface and an edge of the carrier. The peripheral region comprises a sample-adhesion-reducing coating such that, in use, the adherent sample adheres less strongly to the peripheral region than to the sample surface."
