MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010719 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 15, 2024, for 'carriage device for two-wheelers.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A carriage device for two-wheelers a frame 1 positioned at the back of a two-wheeler, incorporated with a camera 2 for ensuring proper positioning of frame 1 over two-wheeler, with lateral ends of frame 1 feature links 3 and clamping units 4, which secure the frame 1 near the two-wheeler's axle, a laser acuity sensor measures the axle's dimensions, allowing the clamping unit 4 to securely fasten the frame 1, a microphone 6 mounted on frame 1 for allowing user to command related to loading/unloading, and to facilitate loading, a motorized pivot joint 7 tilts the frame 1 on the ground surface, an ultrasonic sensor detects the dimensions of the loaded commodity, with a weight sensor determines the commodity's weight, and a speaker 8 alerts the user to excessive weight, and the pivot joint 7 repositions the frame 1 for transport."
