MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073848 A) filed by Indian Council Of Medical Research; and Sastra Deemed To Be University, New Delhi, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'carbon screen printed electrode-based sensor for detection of methylglyoxal in biological fluids.'
Inventor(s) include Rayappan, John Bosco Balaguru; Kumar, Priyanga; and Nesakumar, Noel.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an affordable sensor for the detection of MG in biological fluid samples. In the present invention, carbon ink was prepared from orange peel powder for the fabrication of screen-printed electrodes, where carbon ink was utilized for the fabrication of working and counter electrodes."
