MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517061216 A) filed by Cims Japan Co. Ltd., Hyogo, Japan, on June 26, for 'carbon dioxide recovery method and firing device used in same.'

Inventor(s) include Chijimatsu Yoshihiro.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a carbon dioxide recovery method capable of regulating marine environments and reducing greenhouse gases. Provided is a carbon dioxide recovery method in which calcium oxide b is produced by firing a starting material of calcium carbonate a, a heat pump is driven by heat energy at the time of firing, water c is cooled by cold heat obtained by the heat pump, carbon dioxide d generated at the time of firing is recovered in the cooled water and the calcium oxide b obtained by means of the firing is hydrated to obtain calcium hydroxide f, the calcium hydroxide f is exposed in the atmosphere to recover carbon dioxide d, and calcium carbonate a reobtained therefrom is scattered on the land side 22 of the high tide shore line 21 of a coast 2 which is an environment where carbon dioxide is present during rainfall."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 30, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/044119.
