MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202534041543 A) filed by Largan Precision Co. Ltd., Taichung City, Taiwan, on April 29, for 'capturing optical lens assembly, image capturing unit and electronic device.'

Inventor(s) include Yeh, Kuan-Ting; and Shih, Yu-Han.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A capturing optical lens assembly includes eight lens elements (E1, E2, E3, E4, E5, E6, E7, E8) which are, in order from an object side to an image side along an optical path: a first lens element (E1), a second lens element (E2), a third lens element (E3), a fourth lens element (E4), a fifth lens element (E5), a sixth lens element (E6), a seventh lens element (E7) and an eighth lens 10 element (E8). The first lens element (E1) has negative refractive power. The fourth lens element (E4) has an object-side surface being convex in a paraxial region thereof. The fifth lens element (E5) has an image-side surface being concave in a paraxial region thereof. The seventh lens element (E7) has an object-side surface having at least one inflection point (P). The eighth lens 15 element (E8) with negative refractive power has an object-side surface being concave in a paraxial region thereof."
