MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202417073349 A) filed by Department Of Science And Technology Advanced Science And Technology Institute, Diliman Quezon City, Phillipines, on Sept. 27, 2024, for 'captive portal system with connection monitoring and on-premises content and applications management system (lokalfi).'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a captive portal system with connection monitoring and on-premises content and applications management system which will let the end user, particularly students, educators, and others in the community to access a range of educational and informational web applications. The system comprises a content server hosting locally cached content, a router connected to the content server which routes the data from the content server to the access point installed on a rapidly deployable tower and distributes the internet and offline content via Wi-FI through an antenna installed on top of the rapid deployable tower."
