MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617011413 A) filed by Jaeyoung Solutec Co. Ltd., Incheon, Republic of Korea, on Feb. 3, for 'camera module having multi-directional motion carrier unit.'
Inventor(s) include Kang, Hanwool; Jung, Jaehee; Kim, Seungjae; and Park, Kyusub.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a camera module having a multi-directional motion carrier unit. According to the present invention, an OIS carrier and an AF carrier are integrated into a carrier unit, and a suspension spring is provided to elastically support the carrier unit at a predetermined height from the bottom surface of a housing and to simultaneously perform an OIS function. Since the camera module having the multi-directional motion carrier unit of the present invention has the OIS carrier and the AF carrier integrated into one carrier unit, the internal structure is simplified and accordingly the number of components is reduced, and thus the camera module is slim. In addition, hardly any portion is subject to friction, and thus precision of operation is not deteriorated by abrasion, even after the camera module is used for a long time."
