MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020118 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'camera managing assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Fakira Mohan.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A camera managing assistive device comprising a platform 1 crafted with first and second handles, pair of motorized extendable grippers 2 are arranged with the platform 1 to position base portion of a camera in the grippers 2, touch interactive display panel 3 installed over the platform 1 to enable the user to provide input regrading positioning of the camera, artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 arranged over the platform 1 to determines length and breadth of the base portion of the camera, an inverted J-shaped telescopic link installed over the platform 1 to extend and press the button for capturing the image, and a robotic gripper installed over the platform 1 to grip zoom ring of the camera and rotate on axis for fine tuning of focus of the camera's lens."
