MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531020393 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 6, for 'calf exercising assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A calf exercising assistive device, compromising an extendable frame 101 positioned over a ground surface and configured with a pair of plates 102, an imaging unit 103 for capturing images of feet, a motorized drawer arrangement to provide extension to frame 101 to accommodate feet, pneumatic pins 104 to extend and restrict movement of frame 101 to regulate force applied by user over frame 101, a thermal camera to monitor presence of swelling over ankle portion of user, a robotic link 105 to position a pair of curved members 106 configured with link 105 around ankle portion, pop out balls to rotate on axis to provide massaging effect to ankle, a vibration unit 107 to produce vibrations of a pre-defined intensity to aid in lowering the swelling, a electromyography sensor to monitor electrical activity of muscles of user, speaker 108 to produce commands to notify user regarding detected muscles activity."
