MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026141 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'cake decorating and placing device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Rajeev R Mishra; Dr. Vikesh Kahysp; Mandeep; Madan; Kaushik; and Muskan Gautam.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A device comprises of rectangular base plate 1 configured with rollers 2 at two ends with conveyor belt 3 to move the cake, base plate 1 on motorized rotating flap enables user to apply symmetrical decorations, sensing module 4 provided on the base plate 1 detects weight and moisture of cake, plurality of containers 5 provided underneath the base plate 1 for storing cake decoration items, projection unit 6 installed on the base plate 1 to project image onto the cake, speaker 7 unit on the base plate 1 provides audio guided instructions to the user, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 8 installed on the base plate 1 for recording and processing images of the base plate 1, the tray 10 attached with base plate 1 by telescopic arms 11 to extend the tray 10, peltier unit attached to base plate 1 bring the temperate of cake into predetermined range."
