MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023446 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 25, 2024, for 'button manufacturing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A button manufacturing device that comprises of a housing 1 positioned over a fixed surface and crafted with a receptacle 2 developed to receive plastic of various colors, wherein an outlet 3 is crafted over the housing 1 that is accessed by a user fill plastic within the receptacle 2, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 installed within the housing 1 to determine presence of the plastic within the receptacle 2, a color sensor installed within the housing 1 and synced with the imaging unit 4 to determine color of each of the plastic, a primary robotic gripper 5 installed within the housing 1 to grip each of the plastic and position in a multi-sectioned chamber 6 arranged within the housing 1 and a display panel 7 installed within the housing 1 to enable the user to input command regrading number and size of buttons."
