MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006946 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'bus stop shelter.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Hardeep Singh; Dr. Narinder Kumar; Shivansh; and Shrestha Pratap Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bus stop shelter, comprises of a rectangular platform 1 positioned at a bus stop and configured with an inverted U-shaped member 2 via a pair of plates 3 for providing shade over the platform 1, multiple seats 4 provide accommodation to the passengers, a camera 5 to detect height of passengers, a double-rack gear arrangement arranged between seats 4 and plates 3 to adjust the height of seats 4, an inflatable layer 6 arranged with each of the seat to provide comfort to the passengers over the seats 4, an air blower to provide cooling/heating effects to the passengers, a GPS module to fetch real-time locations of the platform 1 and a microcontroller to fetch real-time locations of the transport which is displayed over a display screen."
