MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007457 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 3, 2024, for 'bulbous vegetable sowing assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Shajahan Basheer.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bulbous vegetable sowing assistive device comprises of an extendable platform 1 connected with a handle 2 via an extendible bar 3 that is gripped by a user for carrying the platform 1 as per requirement, eight cylindrical members 4 configured with the platform 1 to be penetrated within soil over an agricultural field to be sown, a touch enabled screen 5 configured on the handle 2 to give input commands regarding distance to be maintained between members 4 adjacently arranged, a telescopically operated gripper 6 arranged on the platform 1 gripper 6 for gripping vegetable bulbs from a chamber 7 positioned on the platform 1 and transferring the bulbs within the members 4, and four electronic nozzles 11 configured at periphery of the platform 1 for dispensing water in order to maintain an optimum moisture level of the soil and allowing optimum growth of the bulb."
