MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511104182 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 29, 2025, for 'brushless dc (bldc) motor speed control system employing a loop-based control technique.'
Inventor(s) include Sumit Mittu; Dr. Lalit Bhalla; Dr. Pavitar Parkash Singh; and Monica Gulati.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A brushless DC (BLDC) motor speed control system employing a loop-based control technique comprising a BLDC motor 101 configured to operate at variable speed, an infrared (IR) sensor 102 arrangement configured to detect rotational speed and generate corresponding feedback signals, a microcontroller unit 103 configured to receive a reference speed input from a keypad and process the feedback signals from the IR sensor arrangement, a pulse width modulation (PWM) circuit 104 to generate control pulses for speed adjustment, an opto-isolator 105 and a power MOSFET driver stage 106 to regulate power supplied to the BLDC motor 101, and a display module configured to display the measured speed of the motor based on the feedback signals."
