MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010730 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 15, 2024, for 'broom manufacturing device.'

Inventor(s) include Sunil Kumar Gaur.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A broom manufacturing device, comprising a housing 1 installed with a chamber 2 stored with multiple plastic bottles, a touch enabled screen 3 is plotted on housing 1 for enabling a user to give input commands for manufacturing a broom from bottle, a camera 5 mounted within housing 1 for capturing multiple images of bottle, a laser-based cutting unit 6 installed at ceiling portion of housing 1 via motorized slider 7 for positioning cutting unit 6 vertically over neck and bottom portion of bottle, a motorized cutter 10 installed to mark cut on cut-bottle, a robotic arm 12 installed within housing 1 to continuously wrap a specific length of string from spool 11 and cut specific length of string, an electronic nozzle 13 attached with vessel 14 stored with adhesive solution for dispensing adhesive solution within cap and a tray 16 for storing brush handles to obtain broom."
