MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007471 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 3, 2024, for 'brake pad installation device for brake shoes.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A brake pad installation device for brake shoes, comprising a housing 1 installed with a touch interactive screen 2 accessed by user to entering command regarding initiation of brake pad installation process, an inbuilt microcontroller linked with screen 2 process user-entered command and activates a camera 3 installed in housing 1 for detecting presence of shoe within a chamber 4, a robotic unit 5 installed within housing 1 to move a motorized clamp 6 attached with robotic unit 5 towards chamber 4 for gripping brake shoe, a cuboidal block 7 carved with a slot 8 for accommodating brake shoe faces outward, a container 9 placed in proximity to chamber 4 for storing multiple brake pads, a pair of pneumatic pins 10 arranged within slot 8 for mapping brake pad on brake shoe, and a telescopically operated pusher 11 for applying pressure to paste brake pad on brake shoe."
