MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007252 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'brake drum casing manufacturing device for heavy vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A brake drum casing manufacturing device for heavy vehicle, comprising a housing 1 installed with a chamber 2 stored with metal sheets, a touch enabled screen 3 for enabling a user to input commands regarding model number of heavy vehicle, a telescopically operated gripper 4 for gripping one of sheets and positions the sheet on slab 5, a laser-based cutting unit 6 for cutting out disc, a set of rods 8 each attached with a cast 9 of different diameter installed in continuation to slab 5 for positioning disc on one of cast 9, a motorized slider 13 for translating rod 15 in manner to vertically align platform 14 over cast 9 placed with disc and a robotic arm 10 equipped with drilling unit 11 for gripping and positioning structure over slab 5."
