MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012228 A) filed by ZF CV Systems Europe BV, Brussels, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'brake diaphragm, method of producing a brake diaphragm, brake chamber, braking assembly and commercial vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Arangarasan, Senthil Kumar; and Sundaramurthy, Prabhu.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In summary, the invention is directed to a diaphragm assembly (100) for a braking actu-ator. The diaphragm assembly comprises a distal rubber element (12), a proximal rubber element (14), and a fabric layer (102) arranged between the distal rubber element and the proximal rubber element, wherein in at least a portion (13a) of an outer radial section (13) of the diaphragm assembly the distal rubber element is in direct contact with the 10 proximal rubber element. The diaphragm assembly has improved bonding conditions of the rubber elements due to a reduced moisture absorbance."
