MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521118733 A) filed by Endurance Technologies Limited, Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, on Nov. 28, 2025, for 'brake caliper assembly for two wheeled vehciles.'

Inventor(s) include Priyanka Dnyaneshwar Arak; Sitaram R. Gandole; Krushna V. Gite; and Bujjibabu Nelli.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The brake caliper assembly (300) of the present invention comprises of a mounting bracket assembly (BA), a pad assembly (PA) and caliper body assembly (CBA) wherein the caliper mounting bracket assembly (BA) is configured to comprise of a uniquely profiled holder bracket (10), anchor pins (20, 30), and a pad bearing plate (40). The holder bracket (10) has an inverted E-profiled geometry with a body portion (10D) and three arms namely upper arm (10A), middle arm (10B) and lower arm (10C). The upper arm (10A) is configured to have a bore cavity (10P) from a front face (10F) of the bracket (10), the middle arm (10B) has a thorough opening forming an insertion bore (10S), and the lower arm (10C) has a mounting means (SM) to mount the sensors or sensing means. The bore cavity (10P) is configured to have a stepped portion (10Pt) which divides the said bore cavity (10P) in two portions (10P1 and 10P2) wherein the cavity portion (10P2) is configured to have threads on its inner periphery. This unique construction of the brake caliper assembly (300) leads to simplified modular assembly, completely elimination of the machining operation, reduction in weight of the brake caliper assembly and thereby the cost, reduced sliding friction, robust alignment of components, reduced assembly cycle time and easy for maintenance."
