MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411072176 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group Ag, Stuttgart, Germany, on Sept. 24, 2024, for 'bracket for mounting adas sensors and de-icing heating element behind vehicle bumper.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Described herein is a bracket (100) for mounting one or more sensors (202) associated with a driving assistance system and a heating element (204) associated with a de-icing system, behind a bumper (302) of a vehicle is disclosed. The bracket (100) comprises a frame defining the shape of the bracket (100). The frame comprises a first portion (102) adapted to removably accommodate the sensors (202) thereon, and a second portion (104) extending at a predefined angle from an end of the first portion (102), the second portion (104) adapted to removably accommodate the heating element (204) thereon. The accommodated heating element (204) upon actuation maintains a predefined temperature in an area around the sensors (202) and the bumper (302)."
