MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019751 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'book storage device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Meenakshi Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A book storage device, comprises of a cuboidal body 1 adhered on a wall via a set of suction cups 2 placed with books, a camera 3 installed on the body 1 for detecting location of the last books placed within the body 1, a plate 5 configured with the body 1 via a motorized slider 6 for supporting books within the body 1 and preventing falling of books on each other, a microphone 7 accessed by a user to provide voice commands regarding requirement of the books, a pair of flaps 8 arranged on the body 1 via pair of motorized sliding unit 9 for deploying on either sides of the books for allowing the user to take the book from the body 1 and a telescopically operated gripper 11 configured with body 1 for gripping last book and creating space for enabling the user to place more books."
