The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An implant for screwing into a prepared hole in live bone has a body that extends between apical and coronal ends. A thread winds helically along the body. The thread has a truncated crest, in which are formed many flute segments that in combination establish an array of flutes. The truncated crest also supports an array of condensing ramps that are configured to apply compressive strain to the interior surface of the hole with a densifying action while the implant is screwed into the hole. The apical end has a pair of cutting lips that are diametrically opposed from one another. Each cutting lip is formed between a plowing face and a buttressing face. A micro-bevel is disposed on the buttressing face adjacent the cutting lip. A valley is disposed in the apical end. The valley enables formation of a generally circular stub at the base of the hole."
The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 28, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/017669.
