MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007255 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'bolt thread repairing device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bolt thread repairing device, comprises of a housing 1 placed on a ground surface assembled with a platform accessed by a user to place a bolt, a touch enabled screen 2 accessed by user to provide input for repairing the threads on bolt, a camera 3 to detect exact location and dimensions of the bolt, a telescopically operated gripper 4 to grip and place the bolt in between a pair of discs 5 arranged in housing 1 via a set of links 6, a telescopically operated rod 10 to extend and position a clamp 9 arranged on a plate 8 in proximity to the bolt, a motorized sliding unit 12 configured between the plate 8 and clamp 9 to scrub and repair the threads and a motorized dual axis hinge to tilt the clamp 9 and properly file the thread from entire directions."
