MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025497 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'boat docking assistance device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Chamkaur Singh; Navneet Katoch; Akanksha Chopra; and Anmol Daim.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A boat docking assistance device, comprising a frame 1 developed to be installed in proximity of boat which needs to be docked, plurality of suction units 2 installed on the frame 1 that makes a firm grip over the boat, an artificial intelligence enabled image capturing module 3 installed on the frame 1 boat to determine if the suction units 2 are firmly attached with the boat, multiple motorized clamping units 4 installed on the frame 1 that gets locked with the boat in a secured manner and a sharpened blade 5 integrated with the frame 1 to penetrate deep inside a surface where the boat is to be docked thereby enabling proper fixation of rods within the surface."
