MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531089843 A) filed by Assam Agricultural University, Director of Research Assam agricultural University, Borbheta, Dist. Jorhat, Assam- 785013 Jorhat Assam India, on Sept. 20, 2025, for 'boar semen transport cum storage device: piggy flask.'
Inventor(s) include Barman Nagendra Nath; Kanagaraj S.; Borpujari Dhrubajyoti; Bhattacharyya Pritisha; Deka Nipu; Nath Mrinal Kumar; Sarma Bhupen; Deka Pankaj; and Padi Kishore Kumar.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a battery-operated device / insulated box for boar semen preservation cum transportation in liquid state at 17 2 C for a given period of time(based on battery specifications) which is equipped with peltier system; wherein two separate space is provided- one is the insulated and shockproof box for keeping semen containing pouch and the other one for accommodation of desired equipments for keeping the insulated box in lower temperature i.e., 17 2 C. The facility contains separate power supply and battery charger with certain device so that unwanted heating of the box can be avoided. The device is easy to carry, rechargeable within a short time, low cost and also a profitable product for pig industry."
