According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Blood donation remains a critical yet often inefficient process in many countries, particularly in India, where timely access to compatible blood during emergencies _can be life-threatening. This paper presents Blood Link, a secure, user-centric web-based blood donation management system designed to bridge the gap between donors and recipients in real time. The system integrates user registration, donor profile management, and instant WhatsApp-based communication to facilitate rapid donor contact. Unique features include automatic matching of donors by blood group and location, hospital address based Coogle Maps navigation. for emergency requests, and a 24-"hour.auto. expiry mechanism for outdated requests to ensure data relevance. Built using Flask (Python) and deployed on a cloud platform, Blood Link prioritizes usability, privacy, and India-specific contextual needs-such as support for Indian phone formats and hospital addressing conventions. Preliminary evaluation demonstrates the system's effectiveness in reducing response time for blood requests and improving donor-recipient connectivity. This work contributes a practical, scalable, and socially impactful digital health solution that can be readily adopted by communities, colleges, and hospitals across low resource settings."
