MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611001052 A) filed by UPES, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Jan. 5, for 'blockchain-based unified identity system and method for securing personal device networks.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Mayuresh Sunil Pardeshi.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a system and method for securing a personal device network (PDN). The system (100) comprises a plurality of devices (110) connected via a communication network (120) and a Blockchain Unified Identity Device (BUILD) controller (130) including an authentication module (132), an audit module (134), a threat detection module (136), and a blockchain interface module (138) coupled to a distributed blockchain ledger (140). The authentication module (132) performs multi-factor and unified identity authentication, while the audit module (134) analyzes operation and audit logs and enforces security policies. The threat detection module (136) continuously monitors for malicious activities, generates alerts, and isolates suspicious devices (110) by restricting network communication. System operations and security events are immutably recorded on the blockchain ledger (140), enabling centralized supervision, audit analysis, and proactive threat mitigation across the PDN."
