MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531018725 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 3, for 'blind pet animal safety device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Laxmidhar Maharana.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A blind pet animal safety device, comprises of a semi-cylindrical frame 101 composed of a plurality of hollow air tubes 102 inflates to position the frame 101 over the pet animal, a motorized roller wrapped with spool 103 of strap secures the frame 101 on the body of the pet, an inverted U-shaped member 104 enables user to grip the pet effectively, a curved rod 105 protects the pet from colliding with obstacle, C-shaped flaps 106 protect the pet from obstacle, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 107 captures images of the surrounding, an ECG (electrocardiography) sensor detects the heart rate of the pet, a speaker 108 informs the user about detected heart rate of the pet."
