MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621004103 A) filed by Zerolys Technologies Private Limited, Maharashtra, on Jan. 15, for 'bladder assisted molding for threaded neck integration in plant-fiber containers.'
Inventor(s) include Jashwin Manish Mhatre.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a molding system (100) and method (200) for forming a rigid plant-fiber container (300) having an integrated functional threaded neck. The molding system (100) includes a heated mold body (102) defining a mold cavity (102A), a threaded-neck insert holding assembly (104) for positioning a pre-formed threaded neck insert (304), a slurry delivery system (106), a vacuum-assisted dewatering unit (108), an inflatable bladder (110), and a heating system (112). A wet plant-fiber slurry is introduced into the mold cavity (102A), partially dewatered by vacuum, and subsequently compacted by expansion of the inflatable bladder (110) to force fiber material against inner mold surfaces and around the threaded neck insert (304). Thermal curing under maintained internal pressure densifies the fiber material and mechanically locks the threaded neck insert (304) within a molded plant-fiber body (302). The system operates sequentially within a single mold and a single forming cycle."
