MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019723 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'bird feeding assistive system.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Meenakshi Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bird feeding assistive system, comprising a body 1 having a first portion 2 configured with a hook 4 that is to be engaged to hang the body 1, a telescopically operated rod 3, activated by a button 5 assembled on the body 1 to extend/retract, multiple sections 6 to store various food, plurality of plates assembled at a second portion 7 of the body 1 for providing seating space to the bird(s), an artificial intelligence based camera 8 installed on the body 1 for detecting type of the bird, a motorized iris lid 9 arranged on each of the sections 6 for dispensing a food within multiple vessels 10, an electromagnetically powered spring 11 attached on each of the plates for detecting weight of the bird(s), a weight sensor for detecting weight of dispensed food, multiple laser emitting lights 12 for distracting predator bird."
