MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441014210 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'bird feeding assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bird feeding assistive device comprises of an elongated frame 1 positioned over a fixed surface and configured with a multi-sectioned chamber 2 developed to be stored with bird feed of various types, each section of the chamber 2 is configured with a door 3 that is accessed by a user to fill sections with feeds, an imaging unit 4 to determine presence of a bird present in proximity to the frame 1 along with type of the bird, a proximity sensor to monitor proximity of the bird from frame 1, a motorized sliding lid 5 to dispense a regulated amount of feed within a tray 6, a rain sensor to monitor presence of rain in the surroundings and a telescopic rod 7 to extend to position motorized links 8 equipped with fabric 9 over the chamber 2 to deploy the links 8 at specific angle with each other."
