MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517071873 A) filed by All-Plus Chemical Co. Ltd., Jiangsu, China, on July 29, 2025, for 'biopolysaccharide-based polymer and preparation method therefor and use thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Chen, Jiabao; and Wang, Jianmin.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed are a biopolysaccharide-based polymer and a preparation method therefor and use thereof, which relate to the technical field of polymers. The preparation method comprises: adding a polysaccharide substance, a first monomer, and a first oxidant at a formulation ratio for reaction to obtain a first mixed system; adding an alcohol solvent to the first mixed system for reaction to obtain a second mixed system; adding a second monomer and a second oxidant to the second mixed system for reaction to obtain a third mixed system; and then heating the resulting third mixed system to obtain a biopolysaccharide-based polymer. The raw materials used for preparing the biopolysaccharide-based polymer are phosphorus-free and safe, and also have biodegradability and other functional properties. The raw materials demonstrate excellent hard water resistance and effective ability to disperse various inorganic scales, iron oxide, and kaolin, and can be used for making cleaning agents. The whole preparation process is safe, environmentally friendly, easier to control, and readily scalable for industrial production."

The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 29, 2024, under International application No.PCT/CN2024/122496.
